How I Made 80.65% Returns on My Staycation (Part 2)

Time really flies! One year just passed since I wrote this article “How I Made 80.65% Returns on My Staycation”.

I am really happy to announce that one of the public listed businesses (or some of you might term as a stock) that I have invested since has grown another 44.08%. If you can still remember the first article I wrote in 2013, I made 80.65%. And after me sleeping for another 1 year, today, my ROI for Breadtalk is 124.73%!!! Woohoo!!! Haha… I can’t help but laughing and grinning from ear to ear as I was typing this article. I think I should change the title to article “How I Made 124.73% Returns on My Staycation”. On top of the hundred over percent return, I also collect 1.8 cents of dividends, which makes 3.87% dividend yield for me as I bought at a price of $0.465 per share.

Another piece of good news is, I am not the only one making such good returns. From the lessons learnt in our Value Investing Summit 2014 and Millionaire Investor Program, I know I am not the only one enjoying the good capital appreciation and some dividends.

Let’s focus back on the business of Breadtalk. If you take a look at the latest financial figures of Breadtalk, their revenue has hit half a billion. This is a 19.9% growth from previous year. Gross Profit improves 17.9% and Net Profit increases 13.3%. As at 31 December 2013, the Group’s network (including franchised outlets) expanded by 21.9% with a total tally of 737 bakery outlets, 58 Food Atriums and 41 Restaurants.
Again, I want to stress that you should keep your investment strategy simple by investing in businesses you understand. NO trading, NO reading of charts, NO use of options. Value investing rocks!
